ABSTRACT
This article addresses o study on the issues that permeate the recognition of the assistance benefit, notably regarding the normative changes with the Covid-19 pandemic. The objective of this research is to analyze the administrative procedure for recognizing the benefit of continued provision and the implications of the Covid-19 pandemic for meeting this policy. Thus, the research started from the following questioning: what ore the factors that led to the change in the administrative procedure for granting, recognizing and expanding the right to the Continued Installment Benefit and what are the normative changes resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic? The method used in the present work was the deductive one;as for technical procedures, the research is bibliographic and documentary with a qualitative approach;regarding the objectives, the research is characterized as descriptive, and ended up concluding that the health emergency situation due to the Covid-19 pandemic, imposed restrictive measures that resulted in changes to the Organic Low on Social Assistance, giving the infra-constitutional legislation normative adjustments, aiming at protecting the rights of the applicants of the assistance benefit.
